My work centres on survival analysis and joint modelling of survival and longitudinal outcomes, with experience in oncology statistics and immunoassay calibration.

As a mathematician I treat statistics with the same seriousness as other exact sciences, and as a biostatistician I use it on medical problems. After a PhD and a post-doc I still treat the field as unfinished ground.

Following Asimov: the most exciting phrase in science is not “Eureka!” but “That’s funny …”. I took as a life mission to teach, apply, and dig into biostatistics. I tell students that everything is difficult until it becomes easy, including statistics.

This is a personal professional site. It is not a company brochure, a clinic, or a place to send patient records.

  • Survival and joint models Longitudinal outcomes together with time-to-event data.
  • Oncology statistics Collaborative analyses in breast and ovarian cancer studies.
  • Statistical programming R and SAS, including immunoassay calibration work that led to drLumi.
